To Cover or Not to Cover! Swimsuit Cover-up Choices
The end of Summer is rapidly approaching, but due to climate change, many parts of the world will experience warmer weather for just a tad longer than usual, this year. Summer 2019 has proven to be the hottest summer on record for many countries. So, although swimsuit season should be drawing to a close, for many spots, keeping your swimsuit out for a few more months/weeks is definitely in order.
Should Fall arrive on time for you, there may still be a need to pack a swimsuit or two for a cruise or vacation somewhere warm and tropical once cooler temperatures arrive, which brings me to the topic of the swimsuit cover-up.
What are your favorite options when it comes to covering up at the beach or by the pool? Is it based on your general style, covering a part of the body you're most insecure about, or just depends on the type of suit you plan to wear? There's also the issue of whether you plan to drift into shops or restaurants, nearby, that require a little more clothing besides your bikini to enter their establishment. In that instance, a cover-up (typically on bottom) is a must!
For me, it depends on the suit and if there's an area I'm not all that confident about on the day. Let's face it, some days we feel pretty good about our stomachs, butts, etc., and are okay with having it all on display, while other times we might be dealing with bloat or just want to cover up as much as possible. Whatever the reason, there's plenty of options to choose from.
Here are some of my favorite cover-up options:
