Fall Fashion Diary #2: Plaids, Pleats, Dark Florals, Oh my! And Polka Dots, Too!

Skirts are IN for the Fall 2019 season, whether satin/sateen, pleated or decorated in dark florals. Well, how about a skirt that encompasses all the trends with plaids and polka dots thrown in for extra credit?

This is one of those items where you either love it, hate it, or aren't sure how you feel. At first glimpse on Asos, I thought, "Interesting." I squinted and moved on. But then, I kept going back to it. It kept drawing me in; demanding my attention. When I saw how affordable it was, I knew I had to have it. It was versatile in color; meaning I can see myself wearing many color combinations to make it look fresh and new each time. And it was versatile in style; meaning it has the ability to transcend the season and be worn all year long. Every now and again, I am drawn to items that have an "ugly duckling" quality with swan potential. Figuring out the swan transformation always provides me with an exciting challenge

I wore the skirt to the office earlier this week and received a few compliments. What's your opinion? Ugly duckling skirt or total swan?
