Fashion Diary #12: The Poetry of Black and White
There's something classically French about this outfit. It reminds me of the beatnik style of the 50's and 60's. If only I had a little black beret to complete the look!
This striped turtle-neck shirt, paired with a pair of wide-legged cropped faux-leather trousers (both from Shein), had me feeling positively groovy on one of those rare and chilly Miami days.
Although my wardrobe is comprised of mostly colors, patterns and white shirts, I can appreciate an all-black or black and white palette from time to time. This extremely well-made coat from Boohoo completes the ensemble. It looks like wool, doesn't it? Feels like it, too, but it isn't. The stand-up neckline and lapels are so different from your standard coat style. I was instantly drawn to that. And the length is perfect for a Miami winter. Bonus: Pockets are deep to keep those hands warm. A similar look by Ralph Lauren would cost a pretty penny, while everything here is affordable; every item less than $50 (except the boots, of course).
