Lounge/Weekend Fashion Diary #4: The Matching Jogger Set
How much do I love this jogger set? Let me count the ways!
COLOR - This soft shade of orange makes me happy and gives me the Fall feels. On the website it appears to be lighter; more peachy, but it's a deeper shade of peach in person. I can totally see myself wearing this when the weather transitions from Winter to Spring.
FEEL - Super soft and supple against the skin. Thick enough to provide warmth on a breezy day, but lightweight enough for easy layering when venturing out in chilly weather. It's still warm in Miami, right now, when standing in the sun, but the days are less humid and the air more light with a hint of coolness when in the shade. I'm starting to feel like I need more substantial fabrics while out on my balcony and this is perfect for that. I can also lounge in my apartment with the A/C off and not feel hot.
FIT - The slash neck comes already cut for that perfect off-the-shoulder hang, but you can also wear it boatneck style if you prefer a more conservative/classic appearance. I ordered a size up (medium) because I wanted to make sure the sleeves were long enough to cover my hands if they're cold. The pants are drawstring waist, which I love, and the pant legs can be worn long for maximum warmth or you can hike them up mid-calf for a different vibe. The large, thick hem cuffs on the arms, legs and waist are really nice and makes the outfit look and feel a bit more luxurious for what I actually paid. Quality is great (all photos are post-washing).
PRICE - Sets like this are going for ridiculous amounts of money as brands and even designer brands jump on the loungewear bandwagon. This one, from boohoo.com retails for $60, which - to me- is pricey for a something you plan to lounge around the house in, but I admit, this one is pretty nice. Thankfully, I caught a sale and didn't pay more than $28, with an additional discount coupon code from shoptagr.com
STYLE - It's perfect for styling up into something more dressy or fancy if wearing it in the latest "dressed up joggers" style.
There are pockets on the pants of these joggers, but the material is lightweight and a bit fluid-like, so anything that's not thin and smooth will produce unflattering bumps at your hips.
