Loungewear/Weekend Fashion Diary #11: Comfy, Cozy and Minty Fresh!
Pale mint green and sage are all the rage for the 20-21 fashion color palette and I'm 100% HERE for it! Although, I'm more drawn to deeper olive/khaki tones, this soft green shade is something I was willing to try. After all, neon green is still sitting pretty in my wardrobe, so why not give the other end of the spectrum a go?
This ribbed 2-piece from Nasty Gal hits the mark for me as a Miamian. With mild winter temperatures exiting and Spring just weeks away, it's the perfect transitional blend of warmth and cool; the top, cropped just enough and flowy to facilitate the circulation of a nice breeze, but the pants, high-waisted and lengthy for maximum coverage. This set isn't thick enough to trigger a sweat session in 70 degree weather or provide much warmth in lower temps, but on a nice day when the sun is out and a sweet breeze is in the air, it'll do.
The only downside to this set is that shows everything; bumps, dimples, food babies and bloating. If you're just lounging around the house and don't care, don't worry. If you plan to wear it outdoors and care about such things, shapewear under the pants is a must. That should smooth things out and provide an extra layer of warmth, should you need it.
I'm looking forward to wearing this all though Spring and Summer, when chilling on my balcony in the shade or puttering around indoors with the A/C blowing.
(*Note: the Xmas tree in the background of the following photos is long gone. I took these pictures when I first received the set during the holiday.)
