Style Diary: Pumpkin Patchin' with Gingham
Gingham pattern
I'm not someone averse to patterns and gingham is one my favorites! And though I can appreciate gingham in various colors, black and white is my go-to for Fall. There's something about this black and white checkered design that brings me the comfort of falling leaves and pumpkin-spiced treats when the weather cools down. It's my personal fashion symbol for October.
This year, I pulled out my cotton black and white gingham overalls for a trip to my local pumpkin patch. Paired with a crisp white off-the-shoulder top, I had all the feels of Fall while still keeping cool in the sunlight. Although I didn't find any pumpkins I actually wanted to take home (all the good ones taken at this point), I had a nice time perusing the various colors, sizes, and types of pumpkins among the bales of hay and photo-op stops. It was a relaxing way to spend an easy, nice and breezy Saturday afternoon outside.
