Summer Style: The IT hat of your vacation dreams
You probably already know what this post is about based on the title. It's been all over Instagram and in the vacation vlogs of your favorite YouTubers. It's not just a straw beach hat. It is THE straw beach hat. Chic, super stylish and HUGE! Also, it can be expensive and if you find it for an affordable price, it's sold out. They don't last on websites for very long. Your best hope is to stumble on one, randomly, which is how I found mine on prettylittlething.com .
Initially, the hat was advertised on Forever21 and later on H&M from various fashion girls I follow on YouTube. I clicked the latest link from H&M provided in the description box but, yep, it was sold out. She also tried on a pair of pants that I fell in love with and had to have that were on prettylittlething. While I was on that site, checking out the pants, I decided to peruse the hat section to see what they had to offer. This was my first time considering an actual order on the site, so while I was there, I figured I should be thorough. Lo, and behold, just as I was about done scrolling their hat section, it arose on the page as if the sun rising over the horizon. Huge, floppy, stunning and available in two colors...for just $26. Yes, that's pricey for someone who purchases straw hats from Dollar Tree for a mere $1 or from discount stores for less than $10. As I clicked on it, I just knew I'd get hit with the SOLD OUT label or the color I wanted would be unavailable. It was my lucky day. IN STOCK!! The swiftness in which I added the hat to my cart without a second thought was incredible for someone who like to mull things over for a couple of days before checking out. What I did was got inspired to shop around the site for other items I've been hard pressed to find. After overloading my cart and then paring things down, I did the deed. When I shop from a site for the first time, I usually purchase minimal items just to get a feel for things like quality, sizing and delivery time.
This was my first PLT order even though I've known about them for a while. They seemed pretty similar to other sites I regularly shop and didn't seem to feel the need to add another retailer to tempt me away from my cash. But the hat did it. I loved the pants, but it was the hat that made me pull the trigger sooner rather than later.
She has arrived. She is glorious. And she is still available in cream and in black if you're interested in adding her to your Summer wardrobe!
