Weekend/Loungewear Style Diary #10: Pretty in Pink

Spring is just around the corner and I'm already in a pastel mood. As you can probably tell from my latest posts, I'm moving away from muted tones towards more colorful or brightly hued items. Most of the country/world is still feeling a cold snap, but in Miami, our "Winter" is starting to become more mild and warm. This means transitional weather items are coming into play versus full-on, heavy sweaters and boots.

Recently added to my stash of loungewear, is this ultra-warm - but very Spring-toned 2-piece set from Shein.com. In soft, dusty rose pink, the fabric is what you'd get if good quality fleece and jogger material got together and had a cozy fabric baby. It's thicker and much softer than the photos on the site indicated. Plush! The cropped tank top is suitable for a day when the temperatures aren't sweltering, but there's a tiny nip in the air. I topped the whole set with a lightweight cardigan, also from Shein, to keep my exposed arms warm. It gets pretty nippy on my balcony where I like to lounge and chill during the day.

Solid Tank Top With Pants Lounge Set, $17 (size M) ( SOLD OUT)

A few loungewear sets, with tank tops, include the coordinating cardigan, which this set was lacking- so I tried to find one that closely matched best. I worried the pink in this cardigan might be too pink, but turns out it's more "dusty" than the dusty pink of the set. Overall, I think it still works and can't wait to coordinate it with other items in my wardrobe. The three-color block (pink, white and gray) means I can also add it to outfits that include gray or white. Anytime I can acquire an item that's versatile enough to match with multiple items in my wardrobe is a bonus!

This comfy and cozy set is definitely a keeper for lounging around the house, stepping out for errands/walks or those chest-up-only shots for work-from-home Zoom meetings. And of course, it was affordable!
